Children’s Programs
Preschool story hour for children ages 3-5 is offered on Tuesdays from 9:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M.Spring session begins March 8th. Children enjoy stories ,games and crafts.
Summer Reading Program
This exciting program is held for 6 weeks from June to August. Two age groups--preschool age 3-5 and school age 6-8--participate. This year's program "Build a Better World!" will feature stories and activites to get children moving.
Adult Educational Classes
St. Lukes’ miners hospital conducts diabetic classes at the library throughout the year.
Tax preparation for seniors
The Panther Valley Public Library will offer to seniors age 60 and older who qualify for the property tax/rent rebate assistance in preparing federal income tax 1040,1040a,1040ez forms and pa state tax returns.This service will be offered at the library Friday, February 14 and Friday, March 20, 2020 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Appointments are required. Please call the library at 570-645-3780 for more information or to schedule an appointment.

Volunteers
The Panther Valley Public Library Board of Directors acknowdges the need for and the value of volunteers as a resource to provide services to the patrons of the library.
All volunteers must be at least fourteen(14) years of age.
